TAI LI LIGHTING or TL LIGHTING
Theatrelight warns all customers that products similar to Theatrelight designs sold by "TAI LI LIGHTING" or "TL LIGHTING"" of Zhuhai China are unauthorised counterfeit copies.

In 1994 Theatrelight set up a Joint Venture in China (Zhuhai Tai Li Theatrelight) with partner Zheng Daheng. Zheng Daheng's son, Charlie Zheng, worked as a senior manager and later director of Theatrelight New Zealand for some years.
In 2002 it was discovered that Zheng Daheng had forged Theatrelight signatures and company seals (later confirmed by the Supreme Court of Guangzhou) and together with his son had set up another company "Tai Li Lighting" which began manufacturing and selling Theatrelight designs without authority. There has been ongoing litigation both in New Zealand against Charlie Zheng (now settled to Theatrelight's satisfaction), and in China.
The following products manufactured by "Tai Li Lighting" are in breach of one or more Theatrelight copyrights
